Sintra
Sintra is a historic village full of architectural landmarks and natural landscapes that reflect centuries of culture and history. At the heart of the town, the Historic Centre displays cobbled streets, craft shops and colourful residences that preserve the medieval charm.

Among the highlights is the Palácio da Pena, a symbol of Portuguese romanticism, built in the 19th century on top of an old monastery.

With a fusion of architectural styles, including Moorish, Manueline and Renaissance influences, the palace was the summer residence of royalty and is surrounded by lush gardens that add to its enchanted atmosphere.

Another iconic landmark is Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. Its dramatic cliffs, towering over the Atlantic, have inspired poets and explorers over the centuries, symbolising the boundary between land and sea.

Further along, the town of Cascais reveals itself with a vibrant coastal setting. Originally a fishing village, Cascais attracted European nobility in the 19th century and became a haven for the elite. With its golden sandy beaches and the impressive Palácio dos Condes de Castro Guimarães, the town blends luxurious architecture with a relaxing and picturesque atmosphere, reflecting the historical and cultural evolution of the region.
